“Madeleine” (Paris)

My impression of Paris is one of a perfect union of the feminine and masculine – how imposing structures are balanced with lace-like iron work and how the predominantly neutral palette of buildings with iconic Mansard roofs is complemented by the colors of fall foliage and charming forms of lovingly tended gardens.

A spur of the moment detour led me to a gift of serendipity. Right in the heart of Paris where it sits in quiet elegance, I chanced upon La Madeleine – a church dedicated to St. Mary Magdalene.
